Quick 2019 MSC Recap!

MSC Training Symposium took place at the beautiful Disneyland grounds, and had a great turnout! Cal Lab Solutions held an introductory training session for Metrology.NET®.

Metrology.NET® training agenda included:

Hands-on creation & configuration of a test project
Development of a Metrology.NET®device driver
Opportunity to learn one-on-one from a developer

We believe in hands-on learning, and will continue to offer training at major events we attend, as well as at our facility in Aurora, Colorado. We can do on-site training upon request. Learn more about what we offer here.

Moving to Metrology.NET®

We will continue to add procedures to our MET/CAL® Library, but they will be limited to scopes, meters and power supplies. All complex instruments and calibration procedures development will developed in Metrology.NET®.

MET/CAL® is a great platform for simple instruments but we are finding it doesn’t have the power to effectively support today’s increasingly complex test equipment. That is why we created Metrology.NET®.

Here’s our reasoning:

Uses ISO/IEC 17025 uncertainties calculations found on your scope of accreditation
Same interface for automated or manual calibration
Flexible standards that really work!
Pressure, temperature and torque calibration to come this year

Metrology.NET® will include fully-automated calibration procedures (under development), free with license purchase.

MET/CAL® Version 8.0 < Lose Support

At the end of last year, MET/CAL®/ MET/TRACK is no longer supported by the OEM. Not to worry! Cal Lab Solutions and OnTime Support are here to support you. We know the product better than anyone and can help you install legacy versions of the software on Windows 10 and even Windows server 2016. Cal Lab Solutions has the world’s largest library of MET/CAL® procedures and will continue to create meter, scope, and power supply procedures in MET/CAL®.
